Home birth can be a safe option for low-risk pregnancies when care is provided by a trained, licensed professional with the right experience, equipment, and emergency preparation. As a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), I bring hospital-based training and clinical expertise into the home setting, along with careful risk screening, ongoing evaluation throughout pregnancy, and clear transfer plans if a higher level of care is needed.

In general, families planning a home birth are a great fit when pregnancy remains low-risk, the home environment is appropriate for safe care, and you want personalized support and shared decision-making. We screen carefully for safety at every visit, and if something comes up that’s outside the scope of out-of-hospital care, we’ll guide you through your options and collaborate with medical providers as needed.

Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural birth, induction, or a VBAC, our doulas help you feel calm, confident, and supported every step of the way!
